IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the ignition coil assembly or spark plug removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.

    2. B006O2Z

      Disconnect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.

    3. Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      Note

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  3. REMOVE SPARK PLUG

      Remove the 6 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Note

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
