WATER PUMP INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new water pump gasket and the engine water pump assembly with the 7 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY


    1. Type A:


      1. Temporarily install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly to the water inlet housing with the bolt.

      2. B006KVQC01
        *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

        Fully tighten the bolt.

        Torque:
        Specified tightening torque
        21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

        Tech Tips


        • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

        • When using SST (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)): 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)

      3. Install the dust cover to the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

    2. Type B:


      1. Temporarily install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly to the water inlet housing with the bolt.

      2. B006QY6C01
        *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

        Fully tighten the bolt.

        Specified tightening torque
        21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
