REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the switch function.

        Component without harness connected

        (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance when the switch is operated according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        5 (UP) - 7 (GND) UP Below 1 Ω
        2 (LED) - 4 (DOWN) Below 1 Ω
        4 (DOWN) - 7 (GND) OFF Below 1 Ω
        2 (LED) - 5 (UP) Below 1 Ω
        8 (AUTO) - 7 (GND) DOWN Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly.

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the rear power window regulator switch and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 3 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
