CHECK AUTO OPERATION

Make sure that initialization has been completed before inspection.
The roof sunshade auto operation can be customized. Make sure that the auto operation is ON.
Tech Tips
When pressing the switch for 0.3 seconds or less, the roof sunshade moves but auto operation does not operate.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
When the roof sunshade is fully closed, press the open switch for 0.3 seconds or more. Check that the roof sunshade automatically opens until it is fully opened.
When the roof sunshade is fully open, press the close switch for 0.3 seconds or more. Check that the roof sunshade automatically closes until it is fully closed.
When the auto operation is operating, check that pressing any map light assembly stops the roof sunshade operation.
CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION
CAUTION:
Do not use a part of your body, for example, your hand, to check the jam protection function.
Do not allow anything to become caught in the roof sunshade by accident while performing this inspection.
Note
Do not use hard objects, such as a hammer, to avoid damaging the roof sunshade.
Make sure that initialization has been completed before inspection.
The jam protection function does not operate when the roof sunshade is close to the fully closed position.
When the close function is operating and an object is caught between the vehicle body and roof sunshade, check that the roof sunshade opens a distance of 220 mm (8.66 in.) from the point of contact with the object, or opens fully if an opening distance of 220 mm (8.66 in.) is not available.
CHECK OVERLOAD STOP FUNCTION
CAUTION:
Work carefully to avoid being caught in a roof sunshade.
Move the roof sunshade to a position other than fully open.
During an open operation, grasp the front of the roof sunshade to apply a load in the close direction and check that the open operation stops.
