PROCEDURE
REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

| *a | Rear seat cushion lock hook section |
| *b | Hook section at rear of rear seat cushion frame |
Lift the front end of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and detach the 2 hooks from the rear seat cushion lock hook section.
Note
The rear seat cushion frame will deform if lifted at a position far from the rear seat cushion lock hook.
Detach the 2 hooks of the rear of the rear seat cushion frame.
Pass the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH through the rubber band of the rear seat cushion assembly.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Slightly lift up the bench type rear seat cushion assembly and disconnect the 2 connectors under it.
Note
Be careful not to damage the connector or wire harness.
Remove the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

Using a screwdriver, detach the claw to remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
REMOVE NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD
Remove the 2 clips.
Detach the 2 clips and guide to remove the No. 3 battery service cover board.
REMOVE NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure described for the No. 3 battery service cover board.
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
Operate the reclining adjuster release handle to fold down the rear seatback assembly LH.
Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.
Return the rear seatback assembly LH to the upright position.
Detach the 6 clamps to disconnect the rear seat reclining control cable.
w/ Seat Belt Warning System, w/o Seat Heater System:
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
Remove the 4 bolts.
Detach the 2 guides to remove the rear seatback assembly LH.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
Operate the reclining adjuster release handle to fold down the rear seatback assembly RH.
Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.
Return the rear seatback assembly RH to the upright position.
Detach the 6 clamps to disconnect the rear seat reclining control cable.
w/ Seat Belt Warning System, w/o Seat Heater System:
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
Remove the 4 bolts.
Detach the 2 guides to remove the rear seatback assembly LH.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD
Remove the 5 clips.
Detach the 2 guides to remove the battery service cover board.
REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT LEG ASSEMBLY
w/ Seat Belt Warning System:
Detach the 2 claws and 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Detach the 2 claws and 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
Remove the 10 bolts.
Detach the 2 guides to remove the No. 1 seat leg assembly.
REMOVE SEAT LEG BRACKET
Partially remove the floor carpet.
Detach the clamp.
Remove the 4 bolts and seat leg bracket.
