    Tech Tips

    Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    Note

    In the following table, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      FR Seat Heater Temperature Front seat RH heater temperature -29.7°C to 59.55°C

      • HI: 61 to 62 °C (142 to 144 °F)

      • MID: 48 to 49 °C (118 to 120 °F)

      • LO: 35 to 36 °C (95 to 97 °F)

      		 Front seat heater (for Driver Side) is on
      FL Seat Heater Temperature Front seat LH heater temperature -29.7°C to 59.55°C

      • HI: 61 to 62 °C (142 to 144 °F)

      • MID: 48 to 49 °C (118 to 120 °F)

      • LO: 35 to 36 °C (95 to 97 °F)

      		 Front seat heater (for Front Passenger Side) is on
      RR Seat Heater Temperature Rear seat RH heater temperature -29.7°C to 59.55°C

      • HI: 41 to 42 °C (106 to 108 °F)

      • MID: 37 to 38 °C (99 to 100 °F)

      • LO: 35 to 36 °C (95 to 97 °F)

      		 Refreshing seat switch (for Rear seat RH) is on (w/ Rear Seat Heater)
      RL Seat Heater Temperature Rear seat LH heater temperature -29.7°C to 59.55°C

      • HI: 41 to 42 °C (106 to 108 °F)

      • MID: 37 to 38 °C (99 to 100 °F)

      • LO: 35 to 36 °C (95 to 97 °F)

      		 Refreshing seat switch (for Rear seat LH) is on (w/ Rear Seat Heater)
