SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY(for Manual Seat) REMOVAL

CAUTION:


  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  • If the cushion airbag was deployed, replace the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH, separate type front seat cushion spring assembly, separate type front seat cushion cover and separate type front seat cushion pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

  4. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.

    3. B0059ZW

      Remove the 3 nuts and front seat cushion airbag assembly RH.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • When storing the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
