POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM PRECAUTION


  1. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING GTS


    1. When using the GTS with the vehicle engine switch off, connect the GTS to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the GTS and the vehicle begins. Then select Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry&Start(CAN). While using the GTS, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the GTS and the vehicle.

    2. After all DTCs are cleared, check if the malfunction occurs again 6 seconds after the engine switch is turned to on (IG).

  2. PRECAUTION WHEN REPLACING MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

    *: w/ Door Control Battery


    1. If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

    2. As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.*

    3. If the ECU-B NO.1 fuse (the main power source fuse of the main body ECU [multiplex network body ECU]) is removed with the door control battery charged, power will be supplied to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the door control battery for up to 30 minutes. At this time, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) will be able to function with the ECU-B NO.1 fuse (the main power source fuse of the main body ECU [multiplex network body ECU]) removed.*
