LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Clearance Sonar Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination switch assembly (clearance sonar main switch) is installed at the base of the driver side of the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

When the combination switch assembly (clearance sonar main switch) is turned on, an on signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU assembly. The LEXUS parking assist-sensor system operates according to this signal.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Sonar / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the I20 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I33 combination switch assembly (clearance sonar main switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      I20-38 (CLSW) -I33-14 (ECU) Always Below 1 Ω
