DESCRIPTION

The combination meter mirror ECU, multi-display assembly and radio receiver assembly are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the combination meter mirror ECU and multi-display assembly.

Tech Tips

For the AVC-LAN communication line, the radio receiver assembly is the master unit.

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check for optional components.


      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        Tech Tips


        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

        • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

      Disconnect the combination meter mirror ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the radio receiver assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER MIRROR ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the J5 combination meter mirror ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the I42 multi-display assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      J5-12 (MPX1) - I42-6 (TX1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J5-13 (MPX2) - I42-18 (TX1-) Always Below 1 Ω
