  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING COLUMN SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. A01HHYT

        Detach the claw and remove the power steering ECU protector from the power steering ECU assembly.

      2. A01HE1GC01
        *a Cable Tie
        *b Heat Resistant Tape

        Remove the 2 cable ties and heat resistant tape.

      3. A01HFV2

        Disconnect the 3 connectors from the power steering ECU assembly.

      4. Disconnect the 2 harness clamps from the harness bracket.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A01HIRO

        Detach the claw and remove the power steering ECU protector from the power steering ECU assembly.

      2. A01HILG

        Disconnect the 3 connectors from the power steering ECU assembly.

      3. Disconnect the 2 harness clamps from the harness bracket.

    3. A01HJTA

      Remove the 3 bolts and power steering ECU assembly from the electric power steering column sub-assembly.

    4. A01HGIS

      Remove the electric power steering motor shaft spacer from the electric power steering ECU assembly.

    5. A01HFTE

      Remove the electric power steering motor shaft damper from the power steering ECU assembly.
