ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. RELEASE PARKING BRAKE


    1. With the engine switch on (IG), operate the electric parking brake switch to release the parking brake. Then turn the engine switch off.

  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 12 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR

      Remove the nut, disconnect the clamp, and then remove the No. 12 wirinig harness protector.

  4. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY NO.1

      Disconnect the connector from the parking brake wire assembly.

    2. A01XNEB

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the parking brake wire bracket.

    3. A01XP8ON01

      Remove the 3 bolts (A) and parking brake wire bracket.

    4. Remove the bolt (B) and parking brake bracket.

    5. A01XP13

      Disconnect the connector from the parking brake actuator assembly LH.

      Note


      • Remove any dirt or water from around the connector.

      • Do not allow dirt or water inside the connector.

    6. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and parking brake wire assembly.

  5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Using a 5 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and parking brake actuator assembly LH.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
