Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Engine switch is on (IG)

  2. After parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, when engine switch is first turned on (IG), system cannot communicate with ECM for approx. 4 seconds

  • ECM

  • CAN communication system

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

 Yes An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the parking brake ECU assembly, operate the electric parking brake switch (integration control and panel assembly), as the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks when the engine switch is first turned on (IG).

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the GTS on.

    4. Check for DTC.
