HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Headlight Dimmer Switch LH Side Type)


    1. Inspect the light control switch.

        Component without harness connected

        (Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

        I126-18 (T) - I126-15 (EL) Light control switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        I126-20 (A) - I126-15 (EL)
        I126-19 (H) - I126-15 (EL)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    2. A01HEGWC19

      Inspect the headlight dimmer switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        I126-14 (HU) - I126-15 (EL)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    3. A01HEGWC20

      Inspect the turn signal light switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tech Tips


        • The self cancel condition indicates when the turn signal switch returns to the neutral position when releasing your hand from the switch (switch is operated within 7°).

        • The cancel ratchet operation condition indicates the condition when the turn signal switch does not return to the neutral position even when releasing your hand (switch operation is 12°).

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    4. A01HEGWC21

      Inspect the front fog light switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        I126-9 (BFG) - I126-8 (LFG) Front fog light switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        I126-9 (BFG) - I126-8 (LFG) Front fog light switch on Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    5. A01HEGWC22

      Inspect the rear fog light switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        I126-7 (B) - I126-8 (LFG)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Headlight Dimmer Switch RH Side Type)


    1. Inspect the light control switch.

        Tech Tips
