DESCRIPTION

The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) receives steering rotation angle information from the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly and sends the information to the lane departure warning camera. When a steering angle sensor malfunction signal is received, DTC C1A47 is stored.

  • 2 seconds elapse after turning the engine switch on (IG).

  • The IG voltage is 10 V or higher.

  • 2 seconds elapse after the IG voltage is 10 V or higher.

  • When a steering angle sensor malfunction signal is received for 5 seconds or more from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU).


  • Spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly

  • Lane departure warning camera

  • When the lane departure warning camera is replaced with a new one or it is removed, adjustment of the lane departure warning camera axis must be performed.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (POWER STEERING SYSTEM)


    1. for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column:


      1. Clear the DTCs.

        Click here


        Chassis > EMPS > Clear DTCs
      2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

        Tech Tips

        If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

      3. Check the DTCs.

    2. for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column:


      1. Clear the DTCs.

      2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

  2. REPLACE SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly with a new or normally functioning one.
