CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM(for 8AR-FTS) Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• The ECM turns on the cruise control indicator light by sending indicator output demand signals to the combination meter assembly using CAN communication.

• The cruise control indicator light illuminates when the cruise control system has been turned on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF). If a malfunction is detected, the cruise control indicator light goes off and a warning message is displayed.

• The cruise control indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If the cruise control indicator light is not functioning correctly, check for CAN communication DTCs before troubleshooting this circuit.

• When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (METER DISPLAY 1)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

   5. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test.

2. READ VALUE USING GTS (Cruise Indicator Light)

   
   

   1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.

   2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
