DESCRIPTION
The stop light switch assembly sends a brake pedal operation signal to the ECM. Upon receiving the signal, the ECM cancels the cruise control system.

Note
When replacing the driving support ECU, always replace it with a new one. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU will not match the information from the vehicle, and as a result, a DTC may be output.
First check the CAN communication systems by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed to troubleshooting.
PROCEDURE
CHECK FOR DTCs (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs.

CHECK FOR DTCs
Clear the DTCs.
Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
Tech Tips
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.
Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.
Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).
Push the cruise control main switch to -SET to begin control of vehicle speed using the cruise control system.
Check the DTCs.
