| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| P160700 | Cruise Control Input Processor |
DESCRIPTION
When the ECM determines that there is a malfunction, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
Tech Tips
When these DTCs are stored, the ECM cuts the current supplied to the throttle motor and the throttle valve returns to the predetermined opening amount by the return spring.
| DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| P160700 | Cruise Control Input Processor | Diagnosis Condition: Engine switch on (IG) Malfunction Status: ECM internal malfunction Malfunction Period: Approximately 1 second Trip Count: 1 trip Detection Method: Continuous monitoring Required Sensors/Components: ECM |
SFI system | SAE: P1607 |
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Tech Tips
Read freeze frame data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can be helpful in determining whether the vehicle was moving or stationary, whether the engine was warmed up or not, whether the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, as well as other data recorded at the time of a malfunction.
PROCEDURE
CHECK FOR DTCs
Clear the DTCs.
Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
Tech Tips
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.
Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.
Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).
Push the cruise control main switch to -SET to begin control of vehicle speed using the cruise control system.
Check the DTCs.
