PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR
REMOVE BATTERY
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
Detach the clamp and disconnect the connector.
Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the hood lock assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 upper radiator supports and 2 radiator support cushions.
REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the 2 horn connectors from the 2 horns.
Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.
DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Slide the clip and disconnect the radiator hose sub-assembly from the radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS PIPE ASSEMBLY
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.
Detach the 3 claws and disconnect the water by-pass pipe assembly from the No. 2 fan shroud.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS
Disconnect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.
Detach the 6 wire harness clamps and disconnect the wire harness.
REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD
Remove the 2 bolts.
Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 fan shroud.
REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY WITH FAN
Remove the radiator assembly with fan from the vehicle.
Note
Do not damage the core of the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly.
REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and radiator assembly from the fan assembly with motor.
Note
Do not damage the core of the radiator assembly.
REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT
Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the fan shroud.
