RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the fan shroud.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator assembly to the fan assembly with motor the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      10.5 N*m  { 107 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY WITH FAN


    1. B005A0T

      Install the radiator assembly with fan to the vehicle.

      Note

      Do not damage the core of the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 fan shroud.

    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      10.5 N*m  { 107 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  5. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS


    1. Attach the 6 wire harness clamps to connect the wire harness.

    2. Connect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.

  6. CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.

  7. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 3 claws and connect the water by-pass pipe assembly to the No. 2 fan shroud.

    2. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.

  8. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.

  9. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.

  10. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B005APQC01
      B0057RX for bolt A
      B0059IK for bolt B

      Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      31 N*m  { 316 kgf*cm, 23 ft.*lbf }
      for bolt B
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the 2 horn connectors to the 2 horns.

  11. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 upper radiator supports and 2 radiator support cushions to the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

  12. CONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the hood lock assembly.

    2. Connect the hood lock assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Attach the clamp and connect the connector.

  13. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

  14. INSTALL BATTERY

  15. INSTALL BATTERY INSULATOR

  16. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  17. CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  18. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER

  19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  20. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  21. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  22. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
