INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR BRACKET

      Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps from the intake manifold and vacuum sensor bracket.

      Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold.

    3. Remove the engine cover joint and then remove the vacuum sensor bracket from the intake manifold.

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE

      Disconnect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 1 VENTILATION HOSE

    1. Slide the clamp and disconnect the No. 1 ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

  7. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

      Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps from the intake manifold.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket.

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

      Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and intake manifold and intake manifold stay.

      Note

      When removing the intake manifold, if the end of the bolt that is holding the No. 2 alternator bracket in place interferes, remove the V-ribbed belt and loosen the bolt.

      Remove the engine cover joint from the intake manifold.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

      Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket from the intake manifold.

  9. REMOVE STUD BOLT (w/ Stud Bolt)


    1. B0058YP

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.
