RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

   Note

   After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

   Click here

5. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler)

   Click here

6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

8. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

   Click here

9. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

   Click here

10. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

11. REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR

12. REMOVE BATTERY

13. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

14. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

15. DISCONNECT FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH

16. REMOVE FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH

17. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

18. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

19. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

20. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    Click here

21. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE

    Click here

22. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD

23. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH

24. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH

25. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

26. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE ASSEMBLY

27. DISCONNECT NO. 3 SUB-RADIATOR HOSE

    
    

    1. 

       Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 sub-radiator hose from the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

28. REMOVE INTERCOOLER COOLING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

    
    
    1. 

       *1	Intercooler Cooling Radiator Assembly
       *2	Condenser Assembly
       	Pull Up

       Detach the 2 clamps.

       Note

       Do not apply any excessive force to the condenser assembly and cooler pipe.

    2. Move the condenser assembly upward and detach the 2 connections between the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and condenser assembly.

       Note

       Do not apply any excessive force to the condenser assembly and cooler pipe.

    3. 

       *1	Intercooler Cooling Radiator Assembly
       *2	Condenser Assembly
       *a	Pull Up

       Move the condenser assembly LH toward the front of the vehicle and pull up the intercooler cooling radiator assembly to remove it.

       Note

       
       

       • Do not apply any excessive force to the condenser assembly and cooler pipe.

       • Do not move the condenser assembly toward the front of the vehicle more than necessary.

29. REMOVE FAN SHROUD CUSHION

    
    

    1. Remove the 4 fan shroud cushions from the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.
