INTERCOOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN COOLANT

  2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

    Click here

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE

      Disconnect the vacuum hose from the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the clamp.

    3. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 3 PCV hose from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    4. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 air hose from the intercooler assembly.

    5. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 air hose from the intake air resonator.

    6. Remove the 2 bolts, and then remove the No. 1 air tube from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH

  11. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

    Click here

  12. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Type A)

    Click here

  13. REMOVE INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY

      for Type B:

      Remove the 4 bolts from the No. 2 air tube.

    2. A01XOLS

      Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the No. 8 water by-pass hose and No. 9 water by-pass hose from the intercooler assembly.

    3. A01HDYNC01
      *A for Type A
      *B for Type B

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the intercooler assembly.

    4. Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the intercooler assembly from the intercooler support bracket sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the gasket.
