FUEL PUMP(for High Pressure) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

  2. REMOVE FUEL PUMP PROTECTOR

      Remove the bolt, nut and fuel pump protector from the bracket and cylinder head sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and bracket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    2. B0058W1

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  4. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly from the fuel pump assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, loosen the 2 union nuts of the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly.

      Loosen the 2 bolts of the fuel pump assembly.

    3. Remove the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector from the fuel pump assembly.

      Remove the 2 bolts and fuel pump assembly.

    3. Remove the fuel pump lifter assembly and fuel pump lifter guide from the fuel pump assembly.

    4. Remove the O-ring from the fuel pump assembly.

    5. Remove the gasket from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    6. Remove the 2 O-rings from the pump housing of the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
