CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Sport Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The ECM memory contains programs for normal and sport shift patterns.

By following the programs corresponding to signals from the integration control & panel assembly (pattern select switch), park/neutral position switch and various other sensors, the ECM switches the shift control solenoid valves on and off, and controls the transaxle gear ratio.

  1. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL ASSEMBLY (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH)

      *1 Integration Control & Panel Assembly (pattern select switch)

      Remove the integration control & panel assembly (pattern select switch).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      7 (P) - 1 (GND) Pattern select switch being turned and held at SPORT position Below 1 Ω
      7 (P) - 1 (GND) Pattern select switch not turned 10 kΩ or higher
      8 (B) - 1 (GND) Pattern select switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω
      8 (B) - 1 (GND) Pattern select switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the integration control & panel assembly (pattern select switch) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Disconnect the ECM connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A35-57 (PWMS) - Body ground Pattern select switch not turned 10 kΩ or higher
