OIL PUMP INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HFBN

      Turn the front oil pump drive gear with 2 screwdrivers and check that it rotates smoothly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front oil pump oil seal lip.

  2. INSPECT CLEARANCE OF FRONT OIL PUMP AND GEAR BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HGLD

      Push the front oil pump driven gear to one side of the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    2. Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance.

      Standard Clearance
      0.08 to 0.15 mm (0.00315 to 0.00590 in.)
      Maximum Clearance
      0.15 mm (0.00590 in.)

      If the clearance is more than the maximum, replace the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    3. A01HF0C

      Using a straightedge and feeler gauge, measure the side clearance of both gears.

      Standard Side Clearance
      0.035 to 0.05 mm (0.00138 to 0.00196 in.)
      Maximum Side Clearance
      0.05 mm (0.00196 in.)

      1 11.547 to 11.555 mm (0.4547 to 0.4549 in.)
      2 11.555 to 11.563 mm (0.4550 to 0.4552 in.)
      3 11.564 to 11.571 mm (0.4553 to 0.4555 in.)
      4 11.572 to 11.579 mm (0.4556 to 0.4558 in.)
      5 11.580 to 11.587 mm (0.4560 to 0.4561 in.)
      Front Oil Pump Driven Gear Thickness
      Mark Thickness
      1 11.547 to 11.555 mm (0.4547 to 0.4549 in.)
      2 11.555 to 11.563 mm (0.4550 to 0.4552 in.)
      3 11.564 to 11.571 mm (0.4553 to 0.4555 in.)
      4 11.572 to 11.579 mm (0.4556 to 0.4558 in.)
      5 11.580 to 11.587 mm (0.4560 to 0.4561 in.)

  3. INSPECT FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HFZG

      Using a caliper gauge, measure the inside diameter of the front oil pump body sub-assembly bushing.

      Standard Inside Diameter
      43.135 to 43.160 mm (1.69823 to 1.69920 in.)
      Maximum Inside Diameter
      43.160 mm (1.69920 in.)

      If the inside diameter is more than the maximum, replace the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  4. INSPECT STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HJKD

      Using a caliper gauge, measure the inside diameter of the stator shaft assembly.

      Standard Inside Diameter
      22.500 to 22.526 mm (0.88583 to 0.88684 in.)
      Maximum Inside Diameter
      22.526 mm (0.88684 in.)

      If the inside diameter is more than the maximum, replace the stator shaft assembly.
