AIR COOLED OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY


    1. B00584DN01

      Temporary install the oil cooler bracket to the vehicle body with the 2 bolts.

    2. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      *a Temporary Installation Tab

      Hang the oil cooler assembly on the oil cooler bracket temporary installation tab.

    4. Temporary install the oil cooler assembly to the oil cooler bracket and vehicle body with the 2 bolts.

    5. Temporary install the oil cooler bracket to the oil cooler assembly and vehicle body with the 2 bolts.

    6. Tighten the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL THERMOSTAT


    1. B0057PQC01
      *a 1 mm (0.0394 in.) or less

      Install the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses to the oil cooler assembly, and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

      Note


      • Make sure to install the hose clips in a direction that does not interfere with other parts.

      • Make sure to install the hose clips so that the spool fitting is not overlapped.

    2. B0059ESC01
      *a 1 mm (0.0394 in.) or less

      Connect the transmission oil thermostat to the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses, and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

      Note


      • Make sure to install the hose clips in a direction that does not interfere with other parts.

      • Make sure to install the hose clips so that the spool fitting is not overlapped.

    3. Connect the transmission oil thermostat to the oil cooler assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE ASSEMBLY

      *a 2 to 7 mm (0.0788 to 0.2755 in.)
      *b 25°
      *c 130°
      *d Upper Side
      *e Front Side
      *f No hose clamp claw in this region

      Install the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly to the transmission oil cooler and automatic transaxle assembly, and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

      Note


      • Make sure to insert the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly until the spool fitting so that the marking is facing the upper side on the transmission oil cooler side and the front side on the automatic transaxle assembly side.

      • Make sure to install the hose clips in a direction that does not interfere with other parts.

      • Make sure to install the hose clips so that the spool fitting is not overlapped.

    2. Attach the clamp to the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly.

      *a 2 to 7 mm (0.0788 to 0.2755 in.)

      Connect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly to the transmission oil thermostat, and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

      Note


      • Make sure to insert the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly until the spool fitting so that the marking is facing the bottom of the vehicle.

      • Make sure to install the hose clips in a direction that does not interfere with other parts.

      • Make sure to install the hose clips so that the spool fitting is not overlapped.

    4. Attach the clamp to the oil cooler bracket.

  4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT

      *a Rib

      Attach the rib of the transmission oil cooler air duct, and then Temporary install the oil cooler assembly with the 2 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  5. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID
