DATA LIST
Note
In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
Tech Tips
Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Data List.

ACTIVE TEST
Tech Tips
Using the GTS to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.
Warm up the engine.
Turn the engine switch off.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Active Test.
According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test.
| Tester Display | Measurement Item | Control Range | Diagnostic Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Activate the TC Terminal | Connects and disconnects TC and TE1. (changes to the fluid temperature detection mode) |
ON/OFF | The MIL will not blink when "Activate the TC Terminal / ON" is selected. [Vehicle Condition]
|
| Activate the Solenoid (SLU) | Operates shift solenoid SLU | ON/OFF | [Vehicle Condition]
Tech Tips When the Active Test cannot be performed, turn the engine switch off and wait for 3 minutes or more before attempting to perform the Active Test again. |
| Activate the Solenoid (SLT) | Operates shift solenoid SLT to raise the line pressure. | ON/OFF Tech Tips ON: No action (normal operation) OFF: Line pressure up (When the Active Test of "Activate the Solenoid (SLT)" is performed, the ECM commands the SLT solenoid to turn off). |
[Vehicle Condition]
|
| Activate the Lock Up Solenoid | Controls the shift solenoid SLU and SL to set the automatic transaxle to the lock-up condition. | ON/OFF Start/Stop |
Can be used to check SLU and SL solenoid operation. [Vehicle Condition]
|
| Activate the Solenoid (SL) | Operates shift solenoid SL | ON/OFF | [Vehicle Condition]
Tech Tips When the Active Test cannot be performed, turn the engine switch off and wait for 3 minutes or more before attempting to perform the Active Test again. |
| Control the Shift Position | Operates the shift solenoid valves to allow gears to be selected manually. | 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th Start/Stop |
Can be used to check the operation of the shift solenoid valves. Upshifts and downshifts should be performed consecutively. A 10-second interval is required between gear changes. Do not downshift at high speeds. Doing so will damage the automatic transaxle. [Vehicle Condition]
|
| Activate the Solenoid (SL1) | Operates shift solenoid SL1 | ON/OFF | [Vehicle Condition]
Tech Tips When the Active Test cannot be performed, turn the engine switch off and wait for 3 minutes or more before attempting to perform the Active Test again. |
| Activate the Solenoid (SL2) | Operates shift solenoid SL2 | ON/OFF | [Vehicle Condition]
Tech Tips When the Active Test cannot be performed, turn the engine switch off and wait for 3 minutes or more before attempting to perform the Active Test again. |
| Activate the Solenoid (SL3) | Operates shift solenoid SL3 | ON/OFF | [Vehicle Condition]
Tech Tips When the Active Test cannot be performed, turn the engine switch off and wait for 3 minutes or more before attempting to perform the Active Test again. |
| Activate the Solenoid (SL4) | Operates shift solenoid SL4 | ON/OFF | [Vehicle Condition]
Tech Tips When the Active Test cannot be performed, turn the engine switch off and wait for 3 minutes or more before attempting to perform the Active Test again. |
Tech Tips
The "Activate the solenoid (SLT)" Active Test is performed to allow confirmation that the line pressure changes. The line pressure changes are confirmed using the same SST that is used for the Hydraulic Test.
Note that the pressure readings for the Active Test and Hydraulic Test are different.
