REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR WITH CLIP (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

   Click here

2. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

   Click here

3. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

   
   
   1. 

      Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

4. Click here

   REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

   Click here

5. Click here

   REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

6. Click here

   REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the rear bumper pad.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

7. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 2 MOULDING TAPE

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the No. 2 moulding tape.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

8. Click here

   REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE LH

   
   
   1. 

      *a

      Hook

      Disengage the 2 claws.

   2. Disengage the hook to remove the rear bumper piece LH.

9. Click here

   REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE RH

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage guide to remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

11. Click here

    REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the 6 clips.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Remove the 2 outside moulding retainers.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides.

    5. 

       Disengage the 6 claws to remove the rear bumper center extension sub-assembly.

    REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

    
    
    1. 

       Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. 

       Disengage the 5 claws and remove the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH.

14. Click here

    REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

15. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the 2 grommets.

    2. 

       Remove the 2 screws.

    3. 

       Disengage the claw and guide to remove the rear bumper side support LH.

16. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

17. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

    
    
    1. 

       Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

18. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Remove the 8 bolts and rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.
