REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD


    1. A01VOAA

      Remove the rear bumper pad.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE LH


    1. A01VMSMC01
      *a Hook

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the hook to remove the rear bumper piece LH.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01VMJS

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage guide to remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

  10. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 6 clips.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Remove the 2 outside moulding retainers.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides.

    5. Disengage the 6 claws to remove the rear bumper center extension sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. A01VOEH

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01VNQL

      Disengage the 5 claws and remove the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      Remove the 2 grommets.

    2. A01VNTK

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. A01VNPD

      Disengage the claw and guide to remove the rear bumper side support LH.

  15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

      Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

  17. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 8 bolts and rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.
