ACTIVE REAR WING SYSTEM Only Manual Operation of Active Rear Wing does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The spoiler control ECU assembly raises and retracts the active rear wing according to the signal received from the spoiler control switch.

Note

Manual operation is enabled only when the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed is 0 km/h (0 mph)) or at a vehicle speed between approximately 20 and 120 km/h (12 and 75 mph).

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Active Rear Wing > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTCs are not output.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Active Rear Wing / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Active Rear Wing > Data List

      Manual Switch Spoiler control switch condition OFF or ON

      OFF: Spoiler control switch not pressed

      ON: Spoiler control switch pressed

  3. INSPECT SPOILER CONTROL SWITCH


    1. Remove the spoiler control switch.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPOILER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - SPOILER CONTROL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the U38 spoiler control ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U38-14 (MSW) - O139-6 (ECU) Always Below 1 Ω
      O139-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
