  1. FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION


    1. If any signals necessary to operate the active rear wing system cannot be received normally or if components of the active rear wing system are malfunctioning, the fail-safe function will limit the operation of the active rear wing system.

      Power supply malfunction - No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited Voltage at terminal ECUB is 9.5 V or more
      Vehicle speed signal communication malfunction U0129 No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited after current active rear wing operation is complete

      • Communication returns to normal

      • Engine switch off → on (IG)

      • DTCs have been cleared
      Driving mode signal communication malfunction U0101 After current active rear wing operation is complete, the spoiler control ECU assembly performs control of the active rear wing as when ECO mode is not selected
      Active rear wing system ON/OFF setting selection operation signal malfunction U0155 Changing of active rear wing system customize setting with multi-information display is disabled and active rear wing system according to current customize setting
      Luggage compartment door open/closed signal communication malfunction U0142 No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited
      Spoiler control switch stuck on B1318 Manual operation prohibited

      • Spoiler control switch is judged as released

      • Engine switch off → on (IG)

      • DTCs have been cleared
      Initialization failure B131A No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited

      • Initialization has been performed with the GTS

      • Engine switch off → on (IG)

      • DTCs have been cleared
      Excessive continuous operation of No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly B131E No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited

      • 120 seconds have elapsed since No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly operation stopped

      • Engine switch off → on (IG)

      • DTCs have been cleared
      Abnormal Hall IC power source voltage B1319 No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited

      • Difference in voltage at terminals ECUB and CSV is 3.5 V or less

      • DTCs have been cleared
      Hall IC signal malfunction (Either Hall IC1 or Hall IC2) B1311 No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited

      • Engine switch off → on (IG)

      • DTCs have been cleared
      Hall IC signal malfunction (Both Hall IC1 and Hall IC2) B1312 No. 2 rear spoiler motor assembly is stopped and active rear wing system operation is prohibited

      • Engine switch off → on (IG)

      • DTCs have been cleared
      Spoiler control ECU assembly malfunction - Active rear wing operation disabled Spoiler control ECU assembly returns to normal
