DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH detects a malfunction in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH power source circuit or rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH circuit.

Note:

  • Before performing this inspection, check that the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH is installed correctly.

  • If the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH.

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      1. Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Check for DTCs.

    READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the A3 headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the k1 rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A3-16 (SBR) - k1-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      A3-17 (SHRL) - k1-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      A3-15 (SGR) - k1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A3-16 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A3-17 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A3-15 (SGR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
