DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH IG power source circuit. The headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B242E.

  1. Click here

    CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      1. Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs

  2. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Check for DTCs.

      1. Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes


      OK
      DTC B242E is not output.

  3. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the A11 headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A11-4 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
      A11-4 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A11-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
