INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR

2. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

   
   

   1. 

      Disengage the clamp to remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

3. REMOVE ROLL RATE AND VERTICAL ACCELERATION SENSOR

   Click here

4. REMOVE BRACKET

   Click here

5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 screws <D> and No. 1 heater to register duct.

6. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 screws <D> and No. 3 heater to register duct.

7. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the screw <D>.

   2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle duct.

8. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the screw <D>.

   2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle duct.

9. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 screws <D> and defroster nozzle assembly.

10. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the 2 screws <D> and No. 2 heater to register duct.

11. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    Click here

13. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE

    
    

    1. 

       Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.

14. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE

    
    

    1. 

       Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle.

15. REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH

    
    

    1. 

       Disengage the 6 claws to remove the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish as shown in the illustration.

16. REMOVE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH

    
    

    1. 

       Disengage the 6 claws to remove the No. 2 defroster nozzle garnish as shown in the illustration.

17. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT BRACKET

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the 2 screws <C> and glove compartment bracket.
