COMPRESSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (for HFC-134a(R134a))

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf))

  3. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  6. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH

  8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR

      Remove the nut and disconnect the front stabilizer link sub-assembly LH from the front stabilizer bar.

      Tech Tips


      • If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud bolt.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    2. Remove the front stabilizer bar.

  10. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor assembly with pulley.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  11. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the compressor assembly with pulley.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  12. REMOVE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY


    1. B0066TT

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness clamp bracket.

    3. B0067YV

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    4. B0065EK

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and compressor assembly with pulley.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the compressor assembly with pulley from the vehicle with the stud bolts remaining in the compressor assembly with pulley.
