REFRIGERANT LINE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP (for Front Side)


    1. Remove the vinyl tape from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe B and liquid pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the liquid pipe sub-assembly.

      Refrigerant Compressor Oil
      HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

    3. Install the 2 O-rings to the liquid pipe sub-assembly.

    4. Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe B to the liquid pipe sub-assembly.

      *c No Gap
      *d Gap

      Install the piping clamp to the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe B.

      Note

      Make sure that the piping clamp is engaged securely with no gap.

  2. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP (for Rear Side)


    1. Remove the vinyl tape from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A and cooler refrigerant liquid pipe B.

    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe B.

      Refrigerant Compressor Oil
      HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

    3. Install the 2 O-rings to the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe B.

    4. Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A to the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe B.

      Install the piping clamp to the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

      Note

      Make sure that the piping clamp is engaged securely with no gap.

  3. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM ECU BOX (for Rear Side)


    1. Connect the engine room ECU box to the engine room ECU inlet duct.

    2. Install the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Nut
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Engage the claw to connect the wire harness.

  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT (for Rear Side)

  6. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT (for HFC-134a(R134a))

  10. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK (for HFC-134a(R134a))
