DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly receives a pre-crash system on/off signal from the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    READ VALUE USING GTS (PCS OFF SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash 2 / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      1. Body Electrical > Pre-Crash 2 > Data List

        PCS OFF Switch Pre-crash system cancel switch assembly status ON or OFF

        ON: Pre-crash system cancel switch assembly on

        OFF: Pre-crash system cancel switch assembly off

      When the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly is operated, the display changes as shown above.

    INSPECT PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY - PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the Q1 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O92 pre-crash system cancel switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q1-5 (PBSW) - O92-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q1-5 (PBSW) or O92-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the O92 pre-crash system cancel switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      O92-1 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
