DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the luggage compartment door courtesy switch that is built into the luggage compartment door lock assembly using this circuit.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      1. Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

        Luggage Courtesy SW Luggage compartment door courtesy switch signal ON or OFF

        ON: Luggage compartment door open

        OFF: Luggage compartment door closed

    INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

    2. Inspect the luggage compartment door courtesy switch built into the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

      Luggage compartment door lock assembly is normal.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the 4D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U46-3 (D+) - 4D-16 Always Below 1 Ω
      U46-3 (D+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U46-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
