DESCRIPTION

The radio receiver assembly and multi-display assembly are connected via video signal (digital) lines.

This DTC is stored when a video signal (digital) line is disconnected.

Note:
  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System.

  • When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:


    • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.

    • The radio receiver assembly may not operate normally.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.


      1. Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs


    2. Turn the engine switch off.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.


      1. Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes


      OK
      No DTCs are output.
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

      Disconnect the O168 multi-display assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O167 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      O167-2 (GVIF+) - O168-1 (GVIF+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O167-1 (GVIF-) - O168-2 (GVIF-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O167-3 (GND) - O168-3 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      O167-2 (GVIF+) or O168-1 (GVIF+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O167-1 (GVIF-) or O168-2 (GVIF-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O167-3 (GND) or O168-3 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one.

    2. Clear the DTCs.


      1. Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs


    3. Turn the engine switch off.

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.


      1. Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes


      OK
      No DTCs are output.
