  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the O68 and O69 radio receiver assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the R14 and S14 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the T25 and U35 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Measure the resistance between the radio receiver assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO SETTING CONDENSER - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the O67 radio setting condenser connector.

    2. Disconnect the O54 and O55 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

  6. REPLACE RADIO SETTING CONDENSER


    1. Replace the radio setting condencer with a new or known good one.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the T20 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O54 and 055 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the R14 and S14 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Disconnect the T25 and U35 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Disconnect the T24 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    6. Disconnect the O56 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    7. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Tech Tips


      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.
