DESCRIPTION

The torque vectoring differential ECU assembly compares the engine coolant temperature and torque transfer module temperature when the engine switch is off. If the torque vectoring differential ECU judges that the sensor output value is stuck, a DTC is stored.

Diagnosis Condition:


  • IG power source voltage is 10 V or more.

Abnormal condition:


  • Temperature sensor output value of the torque transfer module (RH side) is stuck.

Malfunction Time:


  • 3 seconds or more

Trip logic:


  • 1 trip detection logic


  • Torque vectoring differential ECU assembly

  • Temperature sensor (RH side)


  • Master Warning Light: Comes on

  • Multi-information Display Error Message: Comes on

C2A27 LH Oil Temperature Sensor Fixation Malfunction

Diagnosis Condition:


  • IG power source voltage is 10 V or more.

Abnormal condition:


  • Temperature sensor output value of the torque transfer module (LH side) is stuck.

Malfunction Time:


  • 3 seconds or more

Trip logic:


  • 1 trip detection logic


  • Torque vectoring differential ECU assembly

  • Temperature sensor (LH side)


  • Master Warning Light: Comes on

  • Multi-information Display Error Message: Comes on

If the torque vectoring differential ECU assembly has been replaced, perform "All Learning".

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK DTC OUTPUT (TVD)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / TVD / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs.


      1. Chassis > TVD > Trouble Codes


      Result
      Result Proceed to
      DTC C2A26 is output. A
      DTC C2A27 is output. B
      DTCs other than DTC C2A26 and DTC C2A27 are output. C
      DTCs are not output. D
    5. Turn the engine switch off.


  2. Click here

    READ VALUE USING GTS (RH OIL TEMPERATURE)


    1. Disconnect the A torque transfer module motor sub-assembly (RH side) connector.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / TVD / Data List / RH Oil Temperature.


      1. Chassis > TVD > Data List
        Tester Display
        RH Oil Temperature

      *1 Torque Transfer Module Motor Sub-assembly (RH Side)
      *a Temperature Sensor (RH Side) Connector

      Read the Data List when there is an open or short in the temperature sensor (RH side) circuit.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Display Condition Specified Condition
      RH Oil Temperature Open between TMPR and TMGR Below -40 °C (-40 °F)
      Short between TMPR and TMGR 200 °C (392 °F) or higher
    6. Turn the engine switch off.

    7. Reconnect the A torque transfer module motor sub-assembly (RH side) connector.

      Result
