DESCRIPTION

When a three-phase AC current flows though the three-phase coil of the stator coil, a rotating magnetic field is generated in the TVD motor. The torque vectoring differential ECU assembly calculates the integrated current flow through the TVD motor and stores a DTC if a malfunction is detected.

Abnormal condition:


  • Integrated current is greater than 10 A.

Malfunction Time:


  • 0.1 seconds or more

  • 1 trip detection logic

  • Master Warning Light: Comes on

  • Multi-information Display Error Message: Comes on
C2A1D LH Motor Integrated Current Malfunction

Diagnosis Condition:


  • TVD activated

Abnormal condition:


  • Integrated current is greater than 10 A.

  • 0.1 seconds or more

  • 1 trip detection logic

Tech Tips

If the torque vectoring differential ECU assembly has been replaced, perform "All Learning".

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (TVD)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / TVD / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs.


      Chassis > TVD > Trouble Codes
      Result
      Result Proceed to
      DTC C2A1C or DTC C2A1D only is output. A
      DTCs other than DTC C2A1C and DTC C2A1D are output. B
      DTCs are not output. C

      1. Turn the engine switch off.
