  1. DESCRIPTION

    1. When the torque transfer module motor sub-assembly is removed and installed, or the torque vectoring differential ECU assembly or torque vectoring differential FDU (Final Drive Unit) is replaced, perform Learning Value Initialization.

Refer to the table below and then perform the necessary operation according to the part to be replaced in order to perform calibration.

Parts to be Replaced / Operation Necessary Operation
Torque vectoring differential ECU assembly All Learning
Torque transfer module motor sub-assembly Motor Exchange Learning
Torque vectoring differential FDU (Final Drive Unit) ASSY Exchange Learning
  2. All LEARNING

    Note:

If the torque vectoring differential ECU assembly has been replaced, perform "All Learning".

    1. Check that the following condition is met:

      1. The battery voltage is normal when the engine switch is turned on (IG).

    2. Perform "All Learning".

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Check that the shift lever is in P.

      3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / TVD / Learning Value Initialization.

      5. Select "TVD ECU" and perform "All Learning".

        1. Chassis > TVD > Utility
          Tester Display
          Learning Value Initialization

        Tip:
        • Learning can be performed with a battery voltage of 11 V or more.

        • Learning may be canceled if the battery voltage drops below 11 V.

        • Time required for learning varies depending on the battery voltage.

  3. MOTOR EXCHANGE LEARNING

    Note:

If a torque transfer module motor sub-assembly (RH side or LH side) has been replaced or removed and installed, perform "Motor Exchange Learning".

    1. Check that the following condition is met:

      1. The battery voltage is normal when the engine switch is turned on (IG).

    2. Perform "Motor Exchange Learning".

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Check that the shift lever is in P.

      3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / TVD / Learning Value Initialization.

      5. Select "TVD RH Motor" or "TVD LH Motor" and perform "Motor Exchange Learning".

        1. Chassis > TVD > Utility
          Tester Display
          Learning Value Initialization

        Tip:
        • Learning can be performed with a battery voltage of 11 V or more.

        • Learning may be canceled if the battery voltage drops below 11 V.

        • Time required for learning varies depending on the battery voltage.

        • DTCs may be output on rare occasions after performing "Motor Exchange Learning". If any DTCs are output, clear the DTCs, turn the engine switch off and then perform "Motor Exchange Learning" again.

  4. ASSY EXCHANGE LEARNING

    Note:

If the torque vectoring differential FDU (Final Drive Unit) has been replaced, perform "ASSY Exchange Learning".

    1. Check that the following condition is met:

      1. The battery voltage is normal when the engine switch is turned on (IG).

    2. Perform "ASSY Exchange Learning".

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Check that the shift lever is in P.

      3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / TVD / Learning Value Initialization.

      5. Select "TVD Assy" and perform "ASSY Exchange Learning".

        1. Chassis > TVD > Utility
          Tester Display
          Learning Value Initialization

        Tip:
        • Learning can be performed with a battery voltage of 11 V or more.

        • Learning may be canceled if the battery voltage drops below 11 V.

        • Time required for learning varies depending on the battery voltage.

        • DTCs may be output on rare occasions after performing "ASSY Exchange Learning". If any DTCs are output, clear the DTCs, turn the engine switch off and then perform "ASSY Exchange Learning" again.
