DESCRIPTION

When the lane departure warning camera detects a lane departure alert main switch signal, it sends the signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication. Then the lane departure alert indicator turns on.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

The lane departure alert system uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the lane departure alert system after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (LDA CONTROL INDICATOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Perform "Active Test" according to the display on the GTS.


      1. Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test
        Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
        LDA Control Indicator Lane departure alert indicator OFF or ON -



      1. Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test

      OK
      The lane departure alert indicator comes on or goes off.

    READ VALUE USING GTS (LDA INDICATOR)


    1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Lane Departure Alert / Data List.

    2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      1. Chassis > Lane Departure Alert > Data List
        Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
        LDA Indicator Status of the lane departure alert indicator Nothing or Green

        Nothing: Lane departure alert indicator is not illuminated

        Green: Lane departure alert indicator is illuminated

      1. Chassis > Lane Departure Alert > Data List
        Tester Display
        LDA Indicator

      When the lane departure alert main switch is operated, the display changes as shown above.
