ENGINE OIL COOLER(for Water Cooled Type) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When the oil cooler assembly (for air cooled type) has been removed/installed or the oil cooler hose sub-assembly has been disconnected/reconnected, check the engine oil level after warming up the engine oil to between 100°C and 120°C to open the thermostat between the engine and oil cooler assembly (for air cooled type).

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  4. DRAIN ENGINE OIL

    Click here

  5. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

      *1 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 8 Water By-pass Hose

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 8 water by-pass hose.

      *1 Oil Cooler Assembly
      *2 Oil Thermostat Housing Assembly
      B0067U9 Oil Cooler Union Bolt
      B00679M Bolt

      Remove the oil cooler union bolt and gasket.

    3. Remove the bolt and oil cooler assembly to separate the oil thermostat housing assembly.

      Remove the O-ring from the oil cooler assembly.

      Remove the O-ring from the oil thermostat housing assembly.
