OIL PRESSURE SWITCH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

   INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Adhesive 1324

      Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

      Note:
      

      • Do not apply adhesive to the oil inlet port of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      • Install the engine oil pressure switch assembly within 3 minutes of applying adhesive.

   2. 

      *a	Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using SST, install the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      09922-10010

      Specified tightening torque
      15 N*m	153 kgf*cm	11 ft.*lbf

      Note:

      Do not start the engine within 1 hour of installation.

      Tip:
      

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using SST (fulcrum length of 155 mm (6.1 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.)): 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

   3. Connect the engine oil pressure switch assembly connector.
