EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER LH

   Click here

2. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER RH

   Click here

3. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE

   Click here

4. Click here

   DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR

   
   

   1. for Bank 1:

      
      
      1. 

         Disengage the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

      2. Using SST, disconnect the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

         Note:

         Be careful not to drop the heated oxygen sensor.

   2. for Bank 2:

      
      
      1. 

         Remove the bolt.

      2. 

         Disengage the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

      3. Using SST, disconnect the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

         Note:

         Be careful not to drop the heated oxygen sensor.

5. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 4 bolts and 4 nuts to disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly.

   2. 

      Remove the 4 bolts, 4 compression springs and front exhaust pipe assembly.

   3. Remove the 4 gaskets from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

6. Click here

   DISCONNECT TAIL EXHAUST PIPE LH

   
   
   1. 

      Disconnect the tail exhaust pipe LH from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

      Note:

      Protect the rear bumper assembly using protection material such as a piece of cloth to avoid damage by the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assemblies.

7. Click here

   DISCONNECT TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      Disconnect the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

      Note:

      Protect the rear bumper assembly using protection material such as a piece of cloth to avoid damage by the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assemblies.

8. Click here

   REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Tip:
   

   • Perform this procedure only when replacement of the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is necessary.

   • If the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is removed, replace it with a new one.

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Plastic Hammer

      Using a plastic hammer, remove the 4 tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assemblies from the tail exhaust pipe assembly and tail exhaust pipe LH.
