EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

  2. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VACUUM PIPE (w/ Differential Pressure Sensor)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 2 vacuum pipe from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

    2. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the No. 2 vacuum pipe from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 1 VACUUM PIPE (w/ Differential Pressure Sensor)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 vacuum pipe from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.

    2. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the No. 1 vacuum pipe from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.

  4. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING DAMPER

      Remove the bolt and engine mounting damper from the front No. 1 engine mount bracket.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 8 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET (for Bank 1)

      Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  9. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK


    1. Remove the engine oil level dipstick from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

  10. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

      Remove the bolt and engine oil level dipstick guide.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.

  12. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. B00674H

      Remove the 8 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET (for Bank 2)

      Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
