EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

   Click here

2. Click here

   REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING DAMPER

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the bolt and engine mounting damper from the front No. 1 engine mount bracket.

3. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst).

4. Click here

   REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (TWC: Front Catalyst)

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 8 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst) from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

5. Click here

   REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET (for Bank 1)

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

6. Click here

   REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

   Click here

7. Click here

   REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK

   
   

   1. Remove the engine oil level dipstick from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

8. Click here

   REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the bolt and engine oil level dipstick guide.

   2. Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

9. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst).

10. Click here

    REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (TWC: Front Catalyst)

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the 8 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst) from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

11. Click here

    REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET (for Bank 2)

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
